L'Associazione Culturale Fotografica ProLuce e' di recente fondazione, nata infatti nel marzo 2006, ha tra i suoi trascorsi iniziative mirate a raccontare condizioni sociali, attraverso mostre ed eventi ha raccolto fondi necessari per portare aiuti concreti proprio laddove ne ha carpito con rispetto le immagini. Tra gli eventi piu' importanti, abbiamo realizzato nel novembre 2006 la mostra fotografica "Un Angolo di Angola", questa, unitamente all'uscita del medesimo calendario per il 2007. Per entrambi sono stati utilizzati scatti eseguiti da Maurizio Badolato durante un viaggio in Angola nella primavera dello stesso anno. I proventi sono stati trasformati in libri, quaderni, computer e materiale didattico per la scuola di Lubango sostenuta dai frati Cappuccini. Nel 2007 a seguito del reportage di uno degli allievi, Thomas Herrera a Cotonou nel Benin, viene edito il libro "Una Favola d'Africa", una stupenda raccolta di fiabe africane meticolosamente tradotte. Con la vendita di questo libricino viene sostenuta la ricostruzione del tetto dello stesso orfanotrofio, l'operazione ha affiancato l'Associazione Amici del Benin sostenitrice di tale struttura. Nel 2009 i reportages degli allievi dei corsi dell'Associazione sono stati utilizzati per rassegne mirate a sensibilizzare i disagi degli extracomunitari nel nostro territorio, facendo luce sui pro e i contro di una convivenza a volte sopportata con difficolta' da entrambe le parti. Attualmente e' in corso di realizzazione con un viaggio in Bielorussia un reportage del quale verra' impiegato il materiale realizzato per una mostra fotografica che sara' patrocinata dall'Associazione "La Coccinella". Questa Associazione si occupa di accoglienza a sostegno dei minorenni di tale Paese. La Proluce e' anche una "famiglia di fotografi". Un luogo dove mediante corsi si tende a sviluppare quello che nell'uomo e' diventato nel corso del tempo un vero e proprio linguaggio: la fotografia. In altre parole formiamo fotografi. E non solo tecnicamente, si cerca di stimolare cio' che esiste in ognuno di noi, cioe' il modo di vedere il mondo attraverso un'immagine su due dimensioni, per coglierla prima con la testa e col cuore. Essere fotografi e' come diceva il grande Henry Carter-Bresson, un modo di vivere. Per questo, e in questo modo, vogliamo e cerchiamo di essere scuola. Una scuola dove gli allievi migliori divengono soci, dove la passione per la fotografia trova sbocchi di interesse socialmente utile. Questo e non solo, e' la Associazione ProLuce.
